telephone support

If you’re a new student on a German university you probably know the feeling of being completely lost quite well. Being a prospective international student doesn’t make it better – I thought.

But I’ve been proven wrong – luckily.

After finding out that my graduate student adviser was on maternity leave first and resigned later on completely I contacted the international student adviser.
She obviously made some phone calls and gave me the email-address of my professor and I wrote him about my concerns. Not only did I get a reply within 24hrs, but he offered to call me in Germany as calling him would be to expensive!
And so I spent yesterday evening over half an hour on the phone with my professor getting valuable support on how to organize my studies.
Best phone support ever!

I wish 1&1, t-com, etc were like that :P
