Scotland – First Impressions

Last weekend I escaped the “busy” city of Aberdeen and drove west towards Braemar to hike in the Cairngorms National Park.
I was little late in the day so it was very quiet, most tourist were already on their way home, which gave me plenty of time to take pictures and climb down into the gorges. I have to say it was pretty amazing to see and hear the massive amount of water.
While talking to locals I found out that it is actually still possible to go skiing in the same area. I was a little bit reluctant to believe that, but as it started to snow a little bit on my way home I changed my mind and decided to give it a try.
The next day I drove south along the coast to a small town called Stonehaven. It is very scenic and the ice cream shop on the pier made me happy like a 5-year old :)
